Hiring a Research Specialist!
The ASSIST Lab at UW–Madison is hiring a full-time Research Specialist to coordinate an NIH-funded longitudinal study examining nonsuicidal self-injury and suicide risk among adolescents. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in clinical psychology graduate training to gain hands-on experience with adolescent clinical research, study coordination, and suicide/self-injury assessment.

Prospective Volunteer Research Assistants
The ASSIST Lab is no longer recruiting for Fall 2026. Please check back in October for Spring 2027 openings.
Undergraduate or Graduate students interested in gaining research experience and exploring their interests can apply to work in the ASSIST Lab for course credit. The ideal applicant will:
- Broadly, have interest in understanding and improving risk prediction for self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITB; i.e., nonsuicidal self-injury, suicidal ideation, suicide attempts), daily life experiences of SITBs and how its impacted by interpersonal contexts.
- Have strong communication, attention to detail, and team working skills.
- Commit to working in the lab at least two semesters.
